Stress Awareness Month

In 2014/15, the HSE (Health, Safety Executive) research showed that 16 million people were experiencing mental ill health problems each year and stress was a key factor with 440,000 people (40% of all work-related illness) in the UK reported work-related stress at a level they believed was making them ill.   A poll that You HR recently ran showed that an overwhelming majority found workload caused them the most stress.  Psychological problems, including stress, anxiety and depression, are behind one in five visits to a GP. The Mental Health Foundation reports that 74% of people have at some point felt so stressed that they have felt overwhelmed, unable to cope, and some individuals’... Read More

Most people are neurotypical, which means that their brain functions and processes information in the way our society expects. However it’s estimated that around 1 in 7 people (more than 15% of people in the UK) are neurodivergent. Neurodivergence... Read More

From Good to Great

When I decided to set-up as an independent consultant in the early spring of 2009, I had no idea that my vision would become the successful, thriving business that it is today. By the Summer of 2010 the consultancy was registered as a Limited company and I wrote my first 5 year business plan – setting out a vision of what I wanted to achieve.

My Day at You HR

Interesting in hearing more about working for You HR? Here is a snapshot into the working life of one of our part-time employees, Matt: I have been working at You HR for nearly a year now and it has made me feel more confident workwise, and in talking to people. When I need a break I have a drink and have a look at what treats are available. I like the treats there are often Haribos or chocolate. I then get back to... Read More
