Diabetes is decimating men

This year the focus of the week will be on men and diabetes.  Men are more likely to get diabetes, more likely to suffer complications, more likely to face amputation as a result of diabetes and more likely to die from diabetes yet the sex inequalities in diabetes have not been fully recognised by health policymakers or practitioners. Mental Health Awareness

In 2016/17, the HSE (Health, Safety Executive) research showed that 12.5 million working days lost due to individuals experiencing work-related mental ill health (namely stress, depression or anxiety)  with 526,000 people (40% of all work-related illness) in the UK reporting work-related stress at a level they believed was making them unwell. Who’s Who… Jonna Mundy

jonna mundyMEET JONNA Growing up in London and being the youngest of 24 grandchildren, Jonna was brought up by 3 generations of females in one house, on very traditional values. Starting work in the big city at the young age of 15, by the time Jonna was 22, she was recognised nationally as the youngest corporate manager in Royal Mail, a very male dominated industry. Employed as a project consultant at the time, Jonna was given a new career opportunity to become a Human Resources (HR) professional when others realised her passion and potential to create commercial people solutions.
