Hello, I’m Emma a Graduate HR Adviser at You HR Consultancy

My background:

I graduated from University with a Law degree in 2015. I absolutely loved studying law however realised that I didn’t want to follow the traditional path of becoming a solicitor or barrister but had been interested in employment law and felt my skills were a good fit within HR. Fairly soon after graduating I was recruited as an HR and Training Administrator at a not for profit organisation in the health and social care sector. After just over a year I was promoted to HR Graduate within the same organisation and thrived on no day being the same, helping managers and employees understand HR processes and put them into practice. After attending college to complete my Level 5 in HR Management I joined the You HR team in October 2018 as Graduate HR Adviser and am extremely excited for the new challenge and opportunity to work with the clients the consultancy support.

My approach:

I strive to bring an honest, calm and considered approach to HR and will stay calm and collected in any situation. I’m a devil for the detail but always aspire to see the bigger picture in any situation and ensure a commercially aware approach.

My interests:

I love animals, am a fitness fanatic, love the gym (most of the time) and ran the London Marathon in 2018. I have a sweet tooth, will happily delve into a container of sugar cubes or munch my way through a few packets of biscuits.
